Rising Tides on Bay Commission Radar

Ever wondered what your government is doing to help prepare your city for sea level rise?  The San Francisco Bay Conservation and Development Commission is best known for issuing permits for new development along the shoreline, but BCDC’s Adapting to Rising Tides (ART) program also works with Bay Area cities and counties to help them understand how sea level rise will impact where people live, work, and play, and what can be done about it.  ART’s Bay Shoreline Flood Explorer helps users visualize future flooding along the bay shoreline and also look at how flooding will impact things like highways, jobs, homes, and habitats.
